REGISTRATION
Please note: Registration for all summer 2013 camps will be accepted beginning Feb. 15.
Registration
Registration for all camps includes meals, lodging and programming. Out-of-region campers pay 10 percent more. All camps except Project Camp begin with an evening meal on the opening day (Sunday) and close after breakfast on the closing day (Saturday). Parents or drivers should drop off campers between 2:30 and 5 p.m. Sunday and pick them up before 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Bus transportation
Bus transportation is offered for an additional $68. Air-conditioned commercial buses are chartered for the following camps: Junior Camp, Junior High Camp and Trail Camp. See your pastor or camp contact person for a bus schedule. Regular bus service from Sioux Falls to Rapid City and back is available through Jefferson Bus Lines. Campers who wish to travel by bus must reserve their seat when they register for camp. Campers who request a seat after seats fill will be placed on a waiting list. Campers cannot board the bus unless their bus fare has been received by the Regional Office. No refunds are available without notifying the office at least 10 days before a camp begins. Campers are advised to carry enough money with them for two meals: one on the way to camp and a second on the way home.
Additional expenses
Campers should bring extra money for crafts, snacks and offerings. Craft materials are furnished at additional cost to campers. Some of the craft work utilizes natural materials to keep costs down. The camp store sells pop, candy, ice cream, T-shirts and other camp memorabilia. Two offerings — one for missions and the other for Camp Judson — are taken during the week.
Reminders
Campers are advised to get a tetanus shot before coming. No pets are allowed. Rules for acceptance and participation in camp programs are the same for everyone without regard to race, color, sex or national origin.
