I can still remember the time as a youngster when I first came to Camp Judson with my parents to Family Camp. I was only six or seven years old. Nearly every year after that through college I found a way to spend a week or two in the summer at Camp Judson. Even then, little did I know the impact this place would have on my future.
A lot has changed over the years. We are about to enter a new century and a new millennium. But there are some things that stay constant - like our need for Jesus Christ and the simple message of the Cross. Camp Judson is dedicated to providing a Christian camping experience to all who enter its doors. Camp is a fresh start for everyone. It's a place where young people can be themselves and try something new without the risk of failure. It's an around the clock learning experience with a counselor who can give more love, attention, acceptance and time than 52 weeks of Sunday School. It is a place where Christian values and thoughts can be modeled and taught in every area, allowing young people and adults to know and grow in Jesus Christ.
This has been the ministry of Camp Judson for 75 years. The names may change, but the message remains the same. This is our opportunity to make sure that Camp Judson remains a place of growth, decision, renewal and fellowship for generations to come.

Camp Judson is special because of the spiritual life I always have when I’m there. The quietness and serenity of the whole atmosphere makes every moment special. Seeing many lives changed and the happiness on all those who have come to Jesus as their Savior.

“The camp bell has always been a source of joy to me when I hear its beckoning call. It wakes me up in the morning, promising me another day of fun and fellowship with my church family.
The sharing time around the campfire inspires and blesses me as many decisions are made and lives are changed and renewed as we sing, share, and pray together.
It was an exciting time when we were able to expand Camp Judson across the road. The dedication of committed Christians to recognize the outreach of the Camp and the need for expansion to serve the increasing number of campers is evident. When I survey the cross on the hill, reminding us of the gift of eternal life through our Lord, I am also reminded of my husband, Edgar’s, involvement in raising this cross to its present location.
These are only a very few of the many precious memories of life-changing and life-blessing experiences that I have had the privilege of experiencing at Camp Judson, and I look forward to enjoying many, many more.”

I love spending a week at Camp Judson each summer. When I'm there, the rest of the world doesn't exist, and I can just enjoy the incredible experience of being in the presence of the Holy Spirit (you can feel it as soon as you drive onto the grounds). As far as I'm concerned, spending a summer without a week at Camp Judson is like . . . well, it's like having a glass of milk without Oreos, why bother?
Thanks for a great week at Judson each of the last 9 summers. Looking forward to my 10th summer with you in June.

Camp has always held a special place in my heart. Childhood memories have now blended with the newer experiences of fellowship and unity as I continue to serve on the camp committee, to spiritual stretching and God’s awesome power as I have enjoyed serving as a counselor for 21 years. One of my first counselors at project camp helped answer a lot of my questions and one of my first Jr. High campers turned out to be his son. It amazes me how God works. Come be a part of God’s work at camp. God’s Blessings to you.Dennis Lengkeek
I remember a campfire time, during Men's' Roundup, when a brother in Christ shared a problem that he was experiencing in his life. The understanding shown and the love outpoured by those men in Christ, was an immense blessing to him and those present. I remember the prayers offered for the brother and the feeling of peace that the Lord provided to those joined around the fire. The promise of peace of heart and mind, given in John 16:33, seemed to take on a whole new meaning that evening.

Serving Baptist Camp Judson, for the past 40 years, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I have done volunteer work, attended numerous camps, and served on the Camp Committee.
Seeing campers’ lives changed with first-time decision to put Christ first in their lives and the rededication of lives is rewarding.
One of our camping goals is to encourage campers to make a decisive commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and to grow in their walk with Christ.
I would highly recommend that you plan to attend one of our youth or Adult Camps in the year 2002, located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.
Sincerely in Christ,

Although I can stand most anywhere on the grounds at Camp Judson the view floods my mind with memories about people, occasions, or events that occurred at specific times in my camping experience. I could dwell on some of these, but I choose to dwell on some irreplaceable memories that have benefited me from being a member of the camp committee for nearly 20 years.
-- Although changes in members have occurred their characteristics have not. I have never served on a church-related board like this one, when the only goal has been to provide a Godly atmosphere and environment for winning souls for Jesus Christ. Never has there been strife, contention, or ill feeling when decisions have been made over the years. Never has there been positioning or feelings of superiority over other members. Though not all decisions have been unanimous – all unite for that one common goal, and the feeling of family is always utmost.
-- Another intangible memory for me has been the trips to and from board meetings. In South Dakota few places are just down the road and weather is not always conducive to good travel. In these car-pooling experiences there is nothing like spending hours with these dedicated Christians sharing visions, building ideas, and discussing how to provide better camping experiences. My philosophy has been – you never get to know a person completely until an eight-hour car trip in South Dakota – and I have got to know some tremendous people. However, in the long term the experiences, trials, and inputs that have been shared with me have become some of my most treasured memories, & hopefully has helped Camp Judson become what it is today.

Camp Judson has been a major part of my life since I was a kid. It is the place closest to "heaven on earth" that I have ever found. I look forward to being there every year, and I feel so blessed in having the opportunity to see God at work. The surroundings and the staff show you what God's love is like, and my prayer is that anyone who has an opportunity to go will not pass it up, but go and see God, for He is there.
